un-seen
A blend of the organic and digital that creates a visual meditation on time, loss, and the enduring power of human memory.

"Un-Seen" is a project that delves into the idea of uncovering hidden layers within the natural world, merging physical landscapes with digital interpretations to create a dialogue between what is visible and what lies beneath. The juxtaposition of what seems like organic shapes against a landscape backdrop blurs the boundary between the digital and the natural. It suggests a world where unseen forces or patterns shape the environment in ways we might not initially perceive. Each panel in the image seems to contribute to this idea by introducing new elements or perspectives on the same scene, evolving from more recognisable forms to abstract interpretations. The use of colours, with a shift from natural tones to bold, almost surreal hues, hints at a transformation or a journey into seeing the landscape through different lenses. These transitions in the visual language might be exploring themes of perception—how our experience of reality changes based on the tools or perspectives we use to view it."Un-Seen" as a project seems to engage with the question of what it means to truly observe nature in a time when technology mediates much of our experience. It's about challenging the viewer to look beyond what is immediately visible and to consider the hidden patterns and systems that govern natural and artificial worlds alike. By using generative design, possibly created through tools like Blender is introduced an element of chance and uniqueness. The work's generative nature is a significant aspect, emphasising the commitment to creating pieces that are dynamic and ever-changing, much like the natural world itself. This quality allows the viewer to become a part of the creation process, witnessing the evolution of forms that respond to unseen inputs or data. It aligns well with your broader practice of cross-pollination of ideas—blending organic inspiration with digital methodologies to create new experiences. It highlights the unseen connections and the beauty of impermanence, urging viewers to engage with nature not just as passive observers but as active participants in its unfolding narrative.
